How Do Visualizations Shape Architecture Today?
Learn From the Team Behind MVRDV’s Visual Language
Join us for a special lecture led by Luana La Martina and Kirill Emelianov, senior visualizers responsible for producing high-impact visualizations and media presentations for MVRDV’s global projects. This session opens the door into how visualization teams operate within major architecture firms: the workflows, the storytelling strategies, and the ways architectural visualization (ArchViz) drives design communication at an international scale. With over a decade of combined experience, Luana and Kirill bring complementary expertise; animation and video direction, visual storytelling, and the crafting of narratives that define the identity and impact of large-scale architecture. Their work has helped shape the way MVRDV communicates design to the world.
They’ll share insights on:
- How visualization supports and influences design processes
- Building impactful narratives for competitions, clients, and the public
- The evolving role of ArchViz within big studios
This lecture is an opportunity for you to gain an inside look into one of the most dynamic areas of contemporary architectural practice, and to learn how to elevate their own visualization skills through narrative, craft, and clarity.
The lecture is held in the lunchbreak on December 4th in Hall P and is split into two parts: a deep dive into MVRDV's visualization process from 13:00–13:45, followed by an open Q&A and discussion from 13:45 – 14:30. We’d love to make the second part hands-on, so feel free to bring your own work and get direct, personal feedback!
Hope to see you on December 4th!
