(Intern) Creative architect with an affinity for urban design

JVST is a Rotterdam-based design office working on Warm Urban Places for People. We design places where people feel at home – from urban plans to architecture.
Our office is a Professional Playground: a place where serious work is done, but where there is also room for experimentation, curiosity, and the joy of making. We continuously shift between scales and believe that this is where the most interesting solutions emerge.

What will you do
As an intern, you will be involved in the design process of our projects. You will work across different scales and phases: from initial ideas to further development.

Your tasks include:

• design research and concept development
• urban and architectural studies
• drawings, models, and visualisations
• clearly and convincingly communicating ideas

Who are we looking for
We are looking for an architecture student with an affinity for urban design – someone who can easily move between different scales.

You are:

• design-driven, curious, and engaged
• precise in your work, with a strong imagination
• interested in the relationship between city, building, and user
• skilled in common design tools (e.g. Adobe, SketchUp, etc.)
• experience with Revit is a plus
